Job Description

Construction Field Scheduler – 

  • Maintains overall, integrated to include all contractors construction schedule during the construction project cycle; incorporating and monitoring construction contractor progress and schedules. 
  • Analyzes the contractor's weekly construction scheduling plans and monthly schedule updates for comparison to reported progress and alignment of cost forecasts. 
  • Provides recommendations on cycle time reduction opportunities and techniques as applied to construction and startup scheduling. 
  • Evaluates construction subcontractor schedules and progress for validity and accuracy to support overall construction progress reporting. 
  • Analyzes construction contractor monthly progress reports to ensure accuracy and provide proper input into Dow 's overall project reporting. 
  • Performs sampling of installed quantities to support reported progress; appropriate on all construction contract strategies. 
  • Interacts closely with Dow Project Construction Manager; robust timely communication is a must. 
  • Ensures construction schedule is properly resource loaded, as well as gain alignment between contract scope of work and the construction schedule completeness. 
  • Performs construction staffing density checks or staffing limitation checks to analyze and validate schedule durations and forecast completion dates. 
  • Performs critical path analysis to determine problem areas in regards to project schedule and resource overloads; alerts the project team to critical scheduling issues and potential alternatives. 
  • Ensures Shutdown/Turnaround/Revamp scope is integrated properly in the contractor s construction planning. 
  • Ensures system turnover sequence and timing is accurately reflected and integrated into the contractor's schedule logic. 
  • Evaluates field change orders or project deviations to assess schedule and scope impact for proper decision making. 
    Technical Skill Set - Project Schedule Management Work Process Discipline,  Primavera Monthly / Weekly / Daily Reporting,  Understanding of Construction Practices and Sequences, including Shut-Down/Turn around/Revamp planning and scheduling, Construction Change Order Proces.

  • Basic/Required
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • A minimum of 4 years hands on project planning experience
  • A minimum of 4 years hands on Primavera Enterprise Environment experience
  • Current hands on use of Primavera P6
  • Experience chemical and oil field Infrastructure and Facilities projects
  • Experience with team development and execution of multiple small projects program

 Preferred:

  • A Bachelors degree in Construction Management from an accredited university preferred Equivalent project experience taken into consideration
  • Ability to status multiple schedule environment
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze project schedules, assess logic, provide forecasts, and advise recovery plans
  • Ability to work within a diverse cultural environment
  • Ability to recognize and administrate Project Schedule needs within resource planning, progress measurement, and change management
  • Demonstrated interpersonal/teambuilding skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
