PM&C, SEPAM’s Saudi subsidiary has been successfully awarded a contract by Sharq, a subsidiary of Sabic, for Electrical and Instrumentation technical services work on the 3rd Expansion Ethylene Project in Jubail, Kingdom of  Saudi Arabia, where Shaw Stone & Webster are the EPC & commissioning contractor on the project. This award for our engineering and construction business line continues to build on the companies track record with Sabic and strengthens our position in Jubail Saudi Arabia.

Sharq Third Expansion Project, Jubail, Saudi Arabia

A $6.4bn investment to increase capacity at affiliate Eastern Petrochemical Company (Sharq). The company is a 50:50 joint venture between Sabic and a Japanese consortium, led by Japan's government and the Mitsubishi group of companies. Sharq's plans include an investment of $2.28bn in ethylene and downstream capacity located in Jubail. Sabic claims that once the expansion is complete, Sharq will become one of the world's largest petrochemical sites. The Sharq expansion project will add a total capacity of 2.8 million tpa to Sabic's total output and at the same time enhance Sharq's position as the world's single largest producer of ethylene glycol.
