SEPAM Qatar has been awarded an Electrical & Instrumentation contract by Technip and Chiyoda Corporation Joint Venture (TCJV) on the Plateau Maintenance Project, Qatar.  

The Sepam scope of work includes; Installation Management, Testing, Inspection, Pre-commissioning, Punch fixing, System Turnover and Documentation of Electrical, Control and Instrumentation: Cable Ways, Cables, JB’s, Panels and Control Room & Field Equipments.

The award is a significant achievement for the Sepam Qatar team and continues Sepam’s growing experience on LNG projects including Qatar Gas III & IV LNG Project, South Hook LNG, Wales; Isle of Grain LNG, UK; Skikda LNG, Algeria and Bonny Island LNG, Nigeria.

Plateau Maintenance Project, Qatar

Qatar Liquefied Gas Company (Qatar gas 1) plans to develop a pre-treatment Acid Gas
Removal Unit (AGRU) and Sulphur Recovery Unit (SRU) in Ras Laffan Industrial City,
Qatar. The project includes the construction of 1 AGRU next to the three already existing AGRU's and 1 SRU next to the three already existing SRU's, which will reduce the level of sulphuric acid in the feed gas; drilling wells and upgrading existing onshore and offshore facilities.

The project aims at maintaining the current LNG capacity of 10 million t/y until 2030. The LNG produced is delivered to customers in Japan and Spain.
